Total College Costs gives high school guidance counselors a tool to help students and their families understand the differences in financial aid offer letters while navigating decisions about where the student will attend college.
The calculator produces simple results to explain what costs will need to be paid out of pocket during the school year/semester, as well as how much students will need to pay back in loans upon graduation.
What’s the need?
Every year, 17 and 18 year olds make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives: whether and where to go to college, whether to take on debt, and how to determine which loans to take out. The college cost calculator makes this process a less confusing by giving a simple breakdown of how much the college would cost per year, and in years after graduating through paying back loans.
