Bristol County for Correctional Justice
Website Redesign Proposal
About the Project
Bristol County for Correctional Justice (BCCJ) is a fully volunteer-led group aiming to bring transparency into the correctional justice system in Bristol County, Massachusetts. The current website is essentially a blog with most communication via social media. This project is a web proposal for BCCJ in reimagining the website as a space where information is easy to find, resources are accessible, and there are clear ways to get involved.
The Process
In redesigning the navigation of the website, there were a few goals that stood out:
Changing the nature of the website from a blog to a functional website, while keeping a featured “news” story on the home page.
Easy to access “Get Involved” page with clear ways to get plugged into the group through donating, volunteering, and signing up for the newsletter.
Creating an events section with upcoming events and recent news articles the group’s work was featured in.
