A June Wedding

Web Design

When I started to plan our wedding, I was disappointed in the wedding websites available. They were either overpriced templates or covered in advertisements for registries and the wedding industry. I decided to build my own website for our guests to RSVP, navigate to our registry, and find local places to dine and stay, along with a timeline to share more of our story.

User Analytics

To ensure invitations arrived and guests could access the website, I monitored how long users spent on each page, the geography of visitors, and what type of device they were using to access the site via Google Analytics. I made adjustments based on the data, particularly in making sure the menu was mobile friendly.

With 40% of users accessing the website via a mobile device, I shifted the menu functionality to make it more mobile friendly for tapping instead of clicking.

Most users access the site via Chrome and Safari, so I focused my user testing on these browsers (both mobile and desktop).

To ensure all the guests received invitations and were able to access the website, I monitored the geographic analytics.
